Laura Crane died
just two weeks after her seventeenth birthday from a complex mix of FOUR types
of cancer. The Laura Crane Trust was registered five months later in October
1996 to fund research specifically into cancers affecting 13-25 year olds. It
also funds measures to help improve the lives of the young people during their
treatment and in the aftermath of their illness. Cancer is the most common form
of non-accidental death in teenagers in the UK, yet the Laura Crane Trust is
the only UK charity funding research specifically into cancers affecting
this age group.
Laura always took
great delight in the theatre, both on stage and going to watch shows. The last
play she performed in, in her GCSE year just before she was diagnosed with
cancer, was Animal Farm in which she played Snowball.
Between October 2004 and October 2005 we are appealing to people
all over the country connected to theatre and drama to

After all those years being stuck on a page, Did you ever imagine
