ABSENCE : Absence without prior warning is not an option and is not allowed . Knowing what kind of commitment this show would entail, you should have organised your other commitments around it. You also received advance notice of the rehearsal period dates. Thus absence is really only for illness, school or work related issues, or by prior notification already given to the director. (i.e. holidays etc) If you know you are going to be late or absent for some unavoidable reason, please telephone Iain in good time.

REHEARSAL DRESS : Please wear appropriate foot wear. Dance and jazz shoes or shoes appropriate to your character. Please also wear suitable clothing.

NOTE : The initials on the schedule state which production team members will be present (IHD, JA , Cho) however, if JA cannot be present an accompanist will be present or we will use his self playing machine. One or both of the choreographers will be present at their rehearsals.

PRINCIPALS SHOULD ENDEAVOUR TO KNOW THEIR LINES PRIOR TO FIRST REHEARSAL, AS THERE IS NO TIME TO SPEND WEEKS ON THE BOOK. CERTAINLY BY THE TIME THE BLOCKING AND SETTING IS REVISED NO BOOKS SHOULD BE IN HANDS.

ADDITIONALLY, SOME PRINCIPALS ARE IN COMPANY NUMBERS. HOWEVER THEY MUST BE PREPARED TO THEN COME LATER TO SOME OTHER COMPANY REHEARSALS WHERE OTHER NUMBERS ARE BEING STAGED, IN ORDER TO GET THE REVISION TIME IN.

The juniors number – the harem number – and the tap number will all be set at dance rehearsals and are not therefore stipulated on the schedule

The last day matinee tea will be held immediately AFTER the final performance so that thanks and presents can be given and there will then be an immediate get out.
