This is Johns 4 th season as MD for PPP. John is one of the busiest Musical Directors in his area, and in recent years has been MD for PPP, Toads Stage Musical Company, Paignton Operatic Society, Tadpoles Youth Theatre, and Newton Abbot Musical Comedy Society. He has also guested as MD at Sidmouth, and been assistant MD for Exeter Operatic society. He has been connected with the Newton Society since 1970 and MD’d much of their output since that time, including innumerable pantomimes, and is also their Treasurer ! Since the last Paignton Panto he has MD’d “Summer Holiday” and “Full Monty” for Toads, “Fame” for Tadpoles and “Aladdin” “Kiss Me Kate”, “Honk” at Newton. Hs next projects include “Thoroughly Modern Millie “ and a re-run of “Full Monty” for Toads, and “Blitz” for Newton. Prior to all this, John played for many years for local Young Farmers Clubs, on their competition circuit, which was only natural as he was brought up on a farm. !
