This batch of photographs were taken whilst backstage during live performances. Those performers amongst you will appreciate just how frenetic backstage can be and how little space  and light there is in which to work. Performers often have to rush off into the wings giving the audience the impression that they perhaps have several feet in which to slow down again. This is far from the truth and it is to the credit of all concerned that they manage to give this appearance whilst actually grinding to a stop often inches off stage!

Due to these understandable constraints some of the below photographs are not as sharp as I'd have liked. Flash would be impossible and the various colour lamps used play tricks with the camera. Nonetheless, they will provide you with a flavour of life backstage with a different perspective and some unusual shots.

Warning: Please be aware that the below photographs have file sizes of around 60kb which is higher than other photographs previously displayed. They may take a few seconds to appear if you have a standard dial-up connection although those of you with broadband connections will hardly notice any delay at all.

I believe the increase in quality and viewing size to be worth the small wait but if you have any problems viewing these photographs, please let me know as soon as possible. I hope you enjoy these and as always, any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
